For sixty years Chime has championed for equal rights, greater accessibility and opportunities for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people.

Since our inception as the National Association for the Deaf in 1964, we have changed our name twice, becoming Chime in 2018, and while our name has changed and our offering has grown, our values and mission have stayed the same. We remain dedicated to a society where being Deaf or Hard of Hearing does not hold back an individual’s potential, personal choice, or quality of life.

Our nationwide resource centres provide access to services, social workers, mental health professionals, resources, assistive technologies, as well as access to a community promoting social inclusion, events, and more.
