The ISL Interpreter Voucher Scheme provides free access to Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpreters for a wide range of events, services, and activities. This scheme supports both Deaf individuals who use ISL as their first language and those who need ISL support to fully participate.

Whether it’s for appointments, community events, classes, or social activities, the voucher scheme helps remove barriers and ensures everyone can engage and communicate confidently.

The scheme has been available since October 2nd, 2023, and is designed to make accessing ISL interpreters easier and more equitable for everyone.

Chime campaigned for the Voucher scheme for several years and we are pleased that this scheme is now in place to support Deaf people to access social and cultural activities with more ease. We continue call for the further expansion of the scheme.
