Grandparents Day 2024

Information day for Grandparents & extended family members

We are hosting an information day for Grandparents and extended family members of children who has recently been diagnosed with a hearing loss.

When: Friday 25th October 2024
Where: Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise Town, Co. Laois.

As grandparents and family members you have a role in supporting the parents and at times caring for the child therefore, you may have questions about hearing loss, audiology and managing the technology, communication strategies and how you can help. This workshop will also give you an opportunity to ask the questions you may have been nervous to ask. Our aim is to offer all attendees a supportive and confidential environment to ask questions and share your own experiences and have all the information you need in one place. This workshop may also be relevant to other important people in the child's life for example a childminder and we welcome them to come along too.

Please note: This workshop is not tailored for Parents of children with a hearing loss and more detailed information and support takes place in Chime's Newly Diagnosed weekend. Our next Newly Diagnosed weekend will be on 28th Feb to 2nd March 2025

Cost: €25 per person attending and includes refreshments, lunch and parking.
